Launch imminent for Chariot DRT in London?

Chariot is set to come to London soon; already active in the United States

Ride-sharing service Chariot has revealed plans to operate six minibus routes in London from 29 January.

All are described as ‘commuter services’ and serve railway or Tube stations.

Chariot already operates in several locations in the United States with 14-seat Ford Transits, where flat fares of up to $5 are charged. It is not yet known what the UK operation will offer.

Chariot was purchased by Ford in 2016. The US automotive giant says: “We have applied for licences to operate a commuter micro-transit service in London that will complement the existing public transport system.”
